“I’m FINALLY out of the big and tall section!”
That’s what one of our clients told us last Tuesday.
I lit up when I heard that. As a coach, there’s nothing better than seeing someone break through a barrier they’ve been hitting for years.
So I asked her, “How long have you been shopping in that section?”
“About two decades.”
Twenty years!
Two full decades of walking into a store, grabbing clothes from the big and tall section, and thinking “one day…”
And now? She’s living it!
Here’s what makes this even more incredible… She only shows up to our gym twice a week for 30-minute sessions. That’s it. One hour per week.
No 5-day-a-week grind. No two-hour training sessions. No meal prep Sundays where she’s cooking 47 chicken breasts.
Just one hour a week of training, and being consistent with the little things outside the gym.
If you’re slammed with work and have been told you need to overhaul your entire life to see real results, I’m about to show you why that’s complete BS.
The Trap Most People Fall In
Before I break down exactly what she did, you need to understand something critical.
If you go into weight loss thinking you need to be perfect every single day… if you think you need to rearrange your entire schedule… you’re honestly setting yourself up to fail.
I know so many people try the “all or nothing” approach. And you know what happens? They give it everything for 2-3 weeks, life gets in the way, they miss a day or two, and they completely fall off.
I’ve done it myself more times than I like to admit.
So here’s what I want you to focus on instead:
If you take care of the little things, the big things will take care of themselves.
That’s it. That’s the secret.
Do the little things right, and they add up to life-changing results. Our client is proof.
Let me show you exactly how she did it.
The Two Things She Did Right That You Can Start Today
1. She hit her calorie target most days
She has a calorie goal and a macronutrient goal. All she does is her best to meet those numbers as many days as she can.
And she does an incredible job at it.

She hits her calorie goal with 88% accuracy. The standard we shoot for is 80% or better.
So no, she didn’t follow a “perfect diet.” She didn’t eat chicken and broccoli every single meal. She just did the best job she could with what she had.
And that consistency is what led to losing 22.7 pounds of pure body fat while actually GAINING 1.3 pounds of muscle.
(For context: gaining muscle while losing fat is incredibly difficult. Most people lose muscle when they diet. Maintaining your muscle is considered a huge win. She’s actually UP 1.3 pounds of muscle. This is what causes people to look like a completely different person!)
The lesson here: If you focus on making today as good as you can with your calories, you will see change.
2. She pushed hard during her training sessions
By “training” I mean lifting weights. This is how she was able to lose only fat. By pushing herself hard in the weight room, she kept her muscle and her body had no choice but to burn fat.
And this only took 30 minutes, twice a week.
Now, those 30 minutes aren’t easy. But they’re simple.
She shows up on time for every session. And for those 30 minutes, she pushes herself as hard as she can. That’s it.
What This Really Means For You
Here’s my promise to you:
If you do your best to focus on those two little things…
- Hit your calorie goal most days
- Push yourself hard when you train
…you will see incredible change.
And if you stick with it long enough? You can completely change your life without changing your schedule.
No waking up at 5 AM to train. No meal prep marathons. No giving up the foods you love.
Just consistency with the little things.
Now, I know what you might be thinking: “This sounds great, but where do I even start? What should my calorie goal be? How do I train effectively in just 30 minutes?”
That’s exactly why I created a free Facebook group for busy adults who want to see real results without overhauling their entire life.
Inside the group, you’ll get:
- A place to share your progress and stay accountable
- Direct access to me when you have questions
- Support from other busy adults who are on the same path
It’s a small group. We actually keep it that way on purpose. That means when you post, you won’t get buried. You’ll get real answers from people who care about your success.
And honestly? Having a place to share your wins (and your struggles) makes a massive difference.
If you’re tired of waiting for the “perfect time” to start, and you’re ready to focus on the little things that actually move the needle, join us here: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1CoJavVdxM/
